Before we went on vacation my friend, Debby, called me to let me know that Ian had some artwork on display at a community center. The reason she knew is because her daughter also had a piece of art on display there and she just happened to see Ian's. Ian was thrilled and couldn't wait to go see it. Unfortunately, the center is only open weekdays from 8:30-4:30. Ian doesn't get home from school until 4:10 and the center is 20 minutes away so we decided to pick him up from school early on Thursday to take him. It turned out that there were only 3 pieces chosen from the kindergartners at his school. I think there are 5 or 6 separate classes. So, it was quite the honor for his to be chosen. Who knew we had a budding artist on our hands?! This particular art was inspired by Eric Carle's work.
