The moral of the story is - don't believe your 5 year old when he tells you that he's too big for Thomas the train. He may think he's all grown up, but when the toys are right there in front of him he won't be able to resist.

Thomas
Right after Christmas we told Ian that he had to pick out some toys to get rid of to make room for his new toys. He decided that he wanted to get rid of all of his Thomas the train stuff. So, we brought 1/2 of it downstairs to post it on Craig's List. (We brought down the 1/2 that is not battery operated.) Well, he's been playing with it ever since. Then today he got the idea that he wanted to set up his blue track w/the battery operated trains around the Christmas tree. (Yes, it's still up, but it will be down and out of here by tomorrow afternoon!)

Jenna thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Here she is clapping as she sees Thomas approaching.

It probably helps that for the past week or so the Thomas stuff has been the one exception to our otherwise strict policy of keeping toys upstairs. Considering that it's normally like pulling teeth to get him to actually play with any of them, I'd say the convenience of not having to drag them downstairs trumps just about everything.
awww how sweeeeet!
